After knitting 3 swatches of different edgings for “Beeton’s Doily II” and having none of them look right, I invented my own. The edging needed to be narrow to curve around the doily but can be easily blocked straight for other projects. I hope you find this edging useful for all sorts of items. The blocked edging is just under an inch at its widest at gauge.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, YO and bind off in knit stitch.

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.

12 yards of Aunt Lydia’s Classic 10 thread will make 10 inches of this edging at gauge.
