This scarf is a small, lightweight accessory worked sideways in stockinette stitch with simple shaping. You start with only a few stitches, increase gradually to the widest point, create a small opening with a bind-off/cast-on section, and then decrease back down to the tip. A color change near the end adds a subtle visual accent. The optional crochet edging provides extra stability and helps the shawl lie flat after blocking.

The finished size is approximately 25 cm x 84 cm after blocking. The pattern is written for one size, but you can easily adjust the length or depth by working more or fewer increase/decrease rows (yardage will vary accordingly).

Gauge is 19 sts = 10 cm in stockinette after blocking. Exact gauge is not crucial for this project, but a different gauge will affect the final dimensions and yarn consumption.

You will need 2 skeins total of Sandnes Børstet Alpakka (50 g / 110 m):
• 1 skein Color A (main section)
• 1 skein Color B (final decrease section)
Plus a small amount of scrap yarn if you choose to add the crochet edging.
Suitable substitutes include any airy, light, brushed yarn such as Drops Melody (50 g / 140 m).

A 4 mm circular needle (60 cm cable) is recommended for comfortable knitting, along with a crochet hook for the optional edging.
