The Victorian Fan Palm Scarf is available in 2 sizes. Light, airy and elegant, the larger size is ideal for a wedding or prom shoulder wrap. The smaller scarf version has buttons so that it can be worn as a cowl or open as a scarf.

For the large Victorian Fan Palm Scarf you will need only a 4mm/US6 circular needle. For the small scarf you will also need 4.5mm/US7 straight needles.

This Victorian Fan Palm lace pattern It is double sided: the same on right and wrong sides. Since all these lace rows are worked in pattern (no purl wrong side rows), it requires some experience of lace knitting.

Blocking is essential for the Victorian Fan Palm Scarf, so I highly recommend using a natural fiber yarn that blocks well (not acrylic). The yarn I used was a light DK - 50% Merino wool, 25% Bamboo, 25% Polyamide. Gauge is not that critical with this scarf. I would also suggest using a single color yarn or one with subtle color changes. Darker, multi colored yarns with abrupt color changes will make reading the lace stitches more of a challenge.

Hope you enjoy making and wearing the Victorian Fan Palm Scarf.
