This ethnographic mitten uses five colors for its striking colorwork in eight pointed stars. The cuff is a series of knit and purl rows which dates back to the 18th Century. While the graph shows three pairs of knit/purl rows, the knitted sample has four which makes for a sturdy cuff. The gauge as shown above is for an 8.5” mitten.
