Vieux Québec Cowl is an hommage to my heritage. It is inspired by the Fleurdelysée, the Quebec Provincial flag. Knitted in the round, it includes simple ribbing and stranded knitting using three different tones.

Pattern comes in two sizes - 20’’ Circ. & 22 2/3” Circ.It is meant to be more fitted around the neck, therefore keep in mind that you need to be able to pass it over your head, when you pick your size.

Suggested Yarn: Illimani Baby Alpaca - 1 skein of each color
MC: Sea Green I10961
CC1: Beige 207
CC2: Dark Grey GO
Material needed : US 7 & US 5 16’’ Circular Needles
Gauge: 24 st x 30 row = 4” / 10 cm

I was originally designing this cowl for my uncle, who is a supporter of Quebec’s Federal independence. I have never been very political about my province, I still am not. But I can say that designing this piece gave me a new sense of pride regarding my roots. I am glad my first pattern ended up being this personal.
