This is my first pattern!

Vignette - noun (gardening) a small, intimate scene or grouping of plants and/or garden art designed to complement each other and create a focal point in sections of the landscape.

The Vignette Socks are inspired by trellis work and climbing vines in formal gardens. I was specifically inspired by the lovely trellis walk in the Walled Garden at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC designed by Frederick Law Olmstead.

This pattern is written for three sizes - 7”, 8”, and 9” foot circumference.

This design assumes an intermediate to experienced level of sock knitting and construction, as you need to take in to account your chart length to determine where you will need to break for your heel flap.

Suggested Yarn: Hello Stella Rustic Stella Fingering - 100% non-superwash highland wool, 438 yards/100g
However any fingering weight yarn that gives you gauge is encouraged!

I find the lace and cables really shine in a tonal or semi-solid yarn, but choose whatever makes you happiest!
