This beanie/skull cap design is inspired by the Viking motif pattern in Andrea Rangel’s Alterknit Stitch Dictionary. The Viking motif pattern is found on page 25 of the book. With permission from Andrea, the author of the Alterknit Stitch Dictionary, the motif pattern has been incorporated into the pattern.

The pattern calls for two skeins of Cascade 220 worsted yarn. The cap requires enough yarn in two colors to create a cap that is approximately 52g (1.8oz) with stranded knitting.
