Modern Daily Knitting Field Guide No. 16: Painterly is full of Kaffe Fassett’s genius Intarsia designs worked up in a beloved yarn.

We love these two scarves as a playful nod to the picture knits we will always adore. Kaffe’s motifs for this Field Guide are geometric and therefore easy to work.

In Village, Kaffe plays with a house motif that he returns to over and over, in quilts, fabric designs, and knitwear. Cityscape is more abstract, but has the pulsating energy of a metropolitan map, of the skyscrapers that define space.
