is worked top down, with the front and back joined at the shoulders. It is beautifully finished with a decorative edge, which is repeated on the sleeve hems for a cohesive look.
The model in the picture is 169 cm / 5 ́7” tall and wears a Size 2.

YARN
Suggestion 1
4 (4, 4, 4, 5) (5, 5, 6) skeins of Sol by Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk (100 g = 290 m / 317 yds) (100% Norwegian Wool) and
5 (5, 5, 5, 6) (6, 7, 7) skeins of Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive (25 g = 225 m / 246 yds) (70% Mohair and 30% Silk).
The cardigan is knitted holding two strands together.
For the sample, we used Sol in colourway “58449” and Soft Silk Mohair in colourway “Putty/Kit”.

Things to Consider When Substituting
Gauge: Sol is a DK-weight (light worsted) yarn. Always check the gauge rather than the weight. Even
yarns labeled “worsted” or “DK” can knit up differently.
Fiber: Sol is 100% Norwegian wool. Please consider choosing preferentially a 100% wool, non superwash.
If you choose a yarn with:

  • Merino or silk blend: Your cardigan may hang more fluidly.
  • Rustic wool: Your cardigan will feel firmer and more structured; therefore, the result will be stiffer.

NEEDLES
4 mm / US 6 circular needle, cable length 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40” for the main body and cable length 40 or 60 cm / 16 or 24” for the sleeves.
3 mm / US 2.5 circular needle, cable length 40 or 60 cm / 16 or 24” for the ribbing or 3 mm / US 2.5 DPN for the cuff ribbing.

GAUGE
After blocking: 19 sts x 28 rows = 10×10 cm / 4×4” on 4 mm / US 6 needles in pattern stitch worked flat.
