If you loved my Simple and Best Sock Pattern, let’s step it up with a little colorwork! These vine socks are so satisfying to work up.

Love the look of knit but only crochet? These socks use unique crochet stitches to mimic knit and purl, for a flexible, comfortable fabric. Fingering weight yarn really shows off the stitch definition with amazing drape. Free on my blog too.

✨ What makes it work

• Knit look, all crochet. Stitches that mimic knit and purl.
• Vine colorwork. A pretty two color motif.
• Custom fit. Follow the example sock, then adjust to your foot with the free sock sizing charts.
• You’re not on your own. Video tutorial and written pattern included.

✂️ What you’ll need

• Yarn: Stroll, WeCrochet or Stroll Tweed, WeCrochet (fingering, 462 yds/100g). Colors shown: A Treasure, B Rainstorm Heather
• Yardage: Mid calf socks about 375 yds (343m), 2 skeins main color and 1 skein accent color
• Hook: 2.5mm and E (3.5mm), or size to obtain gauge
• Tools: Removable Stitch Markers · Yarn Needle · Scissors

• Size: The example sock fits an 8” foot circumference. Adjust as needed. Sock schematic included
• Skill level: Intermediate
• Special stitch: Split single crochet
• Gauge: 20 sts and 25 rows = 4” x 4” in established stitch pattern, see notes · gauge help
