Vineyard Sweater is inspired by peaceful days among vineyard rows, where warm sunshine, quiet landscapes, and traditional crafts invite you to slow down and enjoy the process.

This circular yoke sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in a simple, easy-to-memorize lace pattern. The neckline is shaped with short rows so that the front sits lower than the back. It is designed to be worn with comfortable, relaxed ease.

Vineyard Sweater is graded with inclusive sizing in mind, designed to fit actual bust sizes from 76 cm / 30 inches to 168 cm / 66 inches. Measurements are given in both cm and inches.

Yarn

Light fingering weight + lace weight = DK weight

Both yarns are held together in the pattern.

  1. Light fingering weight

Yardage: 605 (655, 780, 815, 960) {1025, 1075, 1155, 1265, 1335} m / 660 (715, 855, 890, 1050) {1120, 1175, 1260, 1385, 1465} yds, including 10% allowance

Shown here: Lamana Milano (90% wool, 10% cashmere; 180 m / 197 yds, 25 g / 0.88 oz ball; color: #42M Hellgrau): 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) {6, 6, 7, 8, 8} balls

  1. Lace weight

Yardage: 640 (695, 825, 860, 1015) {1085, 1140, 1220, 1340, 1415} m / 700 (760, 905, 945, 1110) {1185, 1245, 1335, 1465, 1550} yds, including 10% allowance

Shown here: Lamana Piura Arte (100% alpaca; 400 m / 437 yds, 50 g / 1.76 oz ball; color: #05A Silbergrau):2 (2, 3, 3, 3) {3, 3, 4, 4, 4} skeins

Notes:

If you use a single strand of DK weight yarn, you would need 640 (695, 825, 860, 1015) {1085, 1140, 1220, 1340, 1415} m / 700 (760, 905, 945, 1110) {1185, 1245, 1335, 1465, 1550}, including 12% allowance.

If you plan to add length (see schematic measurement E on the last page for the overall length), for each 5 cm / 2 inches, you will need an additional 80 (85, 95, 105, 115) {120, 130, 140, 145, 155} m / 85 (95, 105, 115, 125) {130, 140, 150, 160, 170} yds for each strand, inclusive of allowance.*
