This scarf is inspired by my childhood memories of the wine country. The diagonal ridges and variegated greens reflect the rows of grape vines. The simplicity of the stitches and trim make this project a good fit for knitters seeking an easy project that travels well.

Materials
Yarn: Worsted or Aran weight, approximately 464 yds (424 m). I know this weight designation is imprecise, but the yarn I used seems to fluctuate between the two. I think a heavier worsted is honestly better.

Shown in: Lanaloft Worsted Weight by Brown Sheep Company, Inc, colorway LL99W Chameleon Green. 100% wool; 160 yds (146 m) per 100g skein. 3 skeins used.

Needles: 1 set U.S. size 10 (6.0 mm) single pointed needles or 1 U.S. size 10 (6.0 mm) circular needle 29” (74 cm) or longer.

Gauge: 15 stitches and 29 rows = 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) in garter stitch, wet blocked.

Notions: U.S. size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook, locking stitch marker, tapestry needle, blocking mats, blocking wires, T pins.

Finished Measurements: 12.5” (32 cm) wide by 55” (140 cm) long.

Techniques Used
Knits, Increases, Decreases, and Single Crocheted Edging.
