I often find inspiration from history and myth, and so I knew I had to make a sweater based on the famous Viking settlement in North America called Vinland. One of the most popular depictions of inland (modern day Labrador in Canada) is that it was rich in grapes or berries that the Norse would use to make a delicious wine. This sweater demonstrates this image of abundant fruit vines cascading down the sweater. Enjoy cabling with the Vinland Pullover!

This is a top-down sweater, so it will look “upside down” as you crochet, so all charts are provided from this perspective.

I provide both a stitch chart and written instructions for each of the rows to create the Vine Motif Pattern.
