Vintage Charm Curtain
I wanted to make a curtain for my bedroom that’d enhance the atmosphere and add some privacy.
This curtain blocks out a bit of light, so it’s great for a room that has plenty of sunlight coming in, or one that really needs sheltering from curious gazes, as you really can’t see through the curtain from the outside.
This pattern doesn’t require a gauge, so you can just crochet away. You need to know the size of your window to determine how much thread you need based on how big your first crochet square turns out.
Finished size:
160cm height x 130 cm width
Size of the window: 90 cm x 120 cm
This pattern is for confident beginners, or intermediate level crocheters.
To read and complete this pattern, you need to be able to make:
slip stitches, chain stitches, half double crochets, double crochets, double crochet shells, double crochet clusters.
There is a separate pattern download for US and UK crochet terms.
You can use any size crochet thread to create this pattern, I used No. 10. Note that the thinner thread you opt for, the longer it’ll make your curtain - but it’ll also be infinitely more delicate and precious.
Happy hookin’!
