This sweater is designed to fit with 2-4” (5-10 cm) positive ease. The model in the photo is wearing the sweater with 4 inches of ease. Every effort has been made to create a pattern with sizing using standard measurements.

Goodbye Ugly Christmas Sweaters!

When I design patterns I love taking inspiration from childhood memories.
I remember, as a kid, the cursing and swearing of my Dad as he tried to untangle the Christmas lights on a cold November Saturday. Those lights always had the colour peeling off them and the wires were always chaotically tangled. Everyone on the street seemed to hang them at the same time.
The glow of the street as we looked out the window and saw all the same colours twinkling in the night filled me with anticipation and joy. This signified the beginning of the Christmas season for me. How amusing that the season of peace would begin with so much cursing.

This sweater is knit top down, in the round, with yoke worked in stranded colourwork. The fourth string of lights can be added to the yoke in the larger sizes, placed just under the sleeve separation in all sizes, or moved to the bottom of the sweater just before the rib.
