Vintage Dream Beanie
Vintage Dream is a top-down lace crochet beanie worked in one piece. The pattern combines simple stitches with an unusual construction technique to create delicate vintage-inspired lace motifs.
The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology and includes detailed step-by-step instructions, a complete stitch chart, and progress photos illustrating every important stage of construction.
Although only basic crochet stitches are used, the pattern is designed for intermediate crocheters. Several rounds are worked in multiple stages with temporary changes in the working direction. The right side of the work always remains facing you, while these directional changes allow the lace motifs to develop along the intended paths. Every turn is clearly illustrated with photos to make the process easy to follow.
The pattern begins with a gauge swatch. Matching the gauge with your chosen yarn is essential for achieving the intended fit. The pattern can also be made with finer yarns, provided the required gauge is obtained.
After Round 10, the crown should measure approximately 5” (13 cm) in diameter.
