The Vintage Hearts Baby 0-3 Month Pattern

This pattern is 3 patterns in one. The pattern will walk you through making the matching booties, hat and diaper cover set.

Intermediate Level pattern

Supplies needed:

• 5mm/H hook
• Weight 4 yarn/Worsted
Approximately 221yards
• Tape measure
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• 2 buttons for diaper cover
• Optional: faux fur pom-pom and button

Stitches Used/Abbreviations:

• ch- chain
• sc- single crochet
• hdc- half double crochet
• CL puff- cluster puff stitch (see Special Stitch)
• inv dec- invisible decrease (see Special Stitch)
• sl st- slip stitch
• sts-stitches
• st-stitch
• sk-skip
• inc- increase, 2 sc in same st
• BLO- back loop only
• dc- double crochet
• Dc2tog- double crochet two together

Notes:
Not all yarn that is marked as weight 4 or worsted is truly the same size. I like to measure my work at certain points to make sure I have the right gauge. Each section will have measurements so you may check your work. If you find that your work is too small, even though you are using the suggested supplies, try going up in hook size, by using a 5.25mm hook. The baby set above was made with Lion Brand Landscapes in the color “Boardwalk Promenade.” The instructional photos are done using Red Heart Super Saver in the color “Aran Fleck.” Both yarns I’ve used are the same weight and result in the same finished size.
