Each placemat uses about 2.5 ounces of the main color and 1.5 ounces of contrast color. Any worsted weight yarn will work, but the sample is in cotton.

Uses a simple stitch pattern, instructions on the page, and the only actual stitch in knit. Other than that it’s just moving yarn around.

It looks like broomstick lace, but spoiler, it isn’t! The stitch pattern would also make a great scarf or blanket, and is easy to calculate based on a swatch.
