For this scarf, I used my own, custom-created yarn cake, which is available on my website, Dutchfiberista.com, and is called Vintage Midnight, 1000m.

You can also use other yarns related to this one. Make sure you have at least 1000m of cake yarn, equivalent to 1 full cake of 800 m plus an additional 200 m in a solid color, for example.
