The Vintage Ruffle Blanket - A Chunky Crochet Afghan PDF Pattern

Do you enjoy making blankets for little dogs that rule your life with an iron paw? Me too. I’ve been told I like it very much. The little dogs would not lie to me.

Anyway, this is a chunky blanket based on a tablecloth pattern from 1963 and adapted and corrected to use chunky yarn so it’s soft and snuggly rather than whatever fresh scratchy hell the original rug yarn caused.

Pattern Level - Intermediate (Because of making the flowers)
The flowers aren’t exactly hard, but I wouldn’t let a beginner try them just because of the annoyance factor.

Materials - Light Chunky Yarn in three colors. I used Yarn Bee Cozy Occasions in Deep Sage, Spa Day, and Martella Mix. You’ll need about 700 yards of your main color, 120 yards of your inner flower ring color, and 240 yards of your outer flower ring color.
Then of course, you’re going to want some stitch markers, scissors, and a yarn needle. And something to distract your chihuahua with when you want to turn the blanket. I find an unexpected Lamb Chop attack works well.

This is a listing for the PDF pattern only. The physical blanket has been claimed, shed on, and ritualistically snuggled by the little dogs.
