Hello, welcome to the description of Vintage Shamrock Hooded Vest by Daria Mazitova of GudrunOfChladach. This vest is very warm, colourful, and practical, with a big cozy hood on a drawstring and tassels :slightly_smiling_face:

The description contains all the stages and colourwork charts, with photos.

Yarn:
100% handspun lambswool 350g/100m.
I used local wool from Kangotextile brand:
https://www.kangotextile.com/yarns/

Suggestions:
Aade Lõng in White(Valge), Beige(Beez) and Petrol colours
Drops Alpaca and Drops Merino blends - all that suits the gauge, approx.340-400g/100m
Thinner woolen yarns held together to meet the gauge, local handspun wool that felts a bit after washing, any yarn that doesn’t fade when washed. Preferably machine washable yarns.

Colours:
Main colour/MC (here dark bluish green, N380) - 250 (280)g
First light colour/FLC (here beige, N330/325) - 85 (115)g
Second light colour/SLC (here white, N201) - 100g (150)g
Please note that the final weight will depend on how many pattern steps you add to the length and width, and how deep you want the hood to be. Also, you can turn the model into sleeveless tunic or a sweater, any area of colourwork permits numerous repeats.

Tools:
3mm circular needles, 2.5mm circular needles for a rib (optional)
knitting hook (2.5-3mm)
scissors, a tapestry needle, one big safety pin, knitting markers, a measuring tape
optional: 3 bead cups for tassels

Size:
S-M: approx. 57cm length, 53cm width, armhole width 15cm
L-XL: approx. 62cm length, 61cm width, armhole width 20cm
You can add one extra pattern step for the positive ease.
Concerning the armhole width, you can make it wider to use the vest with looser shirts.

Pattern step: 16st

Techniques: stockinette stitch, knitting in a round and flat, increases, stranded colourwork, picking stitches from the edge, knitted seam/mattress stitch.

The pattern is for individual use only, not for sale and unauthorised distribution.
