A lovely, vintage inspired velvet Christmas tree skirt that will soften any tree stand and create the perfect perch for presents. This skirt is knit back and forth in rows to make it easy to remove and replace, for when your tree (real or fake) decides to drop some of its needles. The edge of the tree is worked back and forth as a border, which both binds off the live stitches and adds horizontal cables running around the base of the tree and edge of the skirt.

This pattern is designed to be easy to follow as well as easy to knit. There are other patterns with more complexity, which is sure to equal more frustration unless you’re a highly skilled knitted with loads of patience and time. This skirt was designed for my own tree, and my own schedule (which is quite filled)
