This pattern also includes the option of a garter stitch tab with buttons for show for added interest.
Front and back are knitted separately and sewn up the sides, but intermediate knitters can adapt the pattern to knit in the round up to the armholes. You can also choose to use the three needle bind of on one shoulder.
