I want to dedicate this pattern to the love and friendship that comes through knitting. I have met so many amazing, inspiring and unique people thanks to this wonderful craft and I feel connected to each and every single one by the fibers that run through our fingers.

Vinur (which means friend in Icelandic) is an asymmetrical triangle shawl knit on the bias. Garter stitch mosaic patterns play with a trio of colors and an Icelandic bind off is used to give this fun knit the perfect finish. I recorded a video tutorial for the bind off, you can find it here.

In mosaic knitting you only work with one color per row. Stitches from the previous row are slipped purlwise, holding the yarn either in the front or the back of your work, to create beautiful motifs.

The pattern is fully written out. The included charts do not reflect increases, decreases or WS rows and are for visual reference only.
