PATTERN INFORMATION
Violet is an open-front, seamless and top-down cardigan, made in a combination of stockinette stitch and lace, designed to be worn with approximately 5-10 cm/2-4 in of positive ease.
The yoke is worked sideways in stockinette stitch, starting from a mock seam in the centre of back, with neck shaping and short rows shaping the back of the shoulders. When the yoke is finished, it looks like a shrug with longer back and short fronts.
Stitches for the lower body are picked up along the edge of the yoke and worked top down, in lace pattern, without any shaping. As a result of the construction, the cardigan has a longer back and shorter fronts.
