Violetta is a soft and cozy Shawlette that has a lovely picot trim with bead accents.

A Shawlette is a fantastic accent to any outfit. Slightly smaller than a traditional shawl they can be worn more casually with the “point in front” or dressed up with “point in back”. A shawl pin often makes an eye catching touch as well.

Violetta calls for two colors of Cascade 220 (Solid, Heather or Painted are all great options) however the Contrast Color only requires about 50 yards. Because of the small yardage requirement for the second color this is a great way to use up some of the leftovers from your stash. Beads are of course optional and can be vibrant to stand out or blend in for an added subtle shine.

No complicated lace or knitting techniques here, Violetta is a great pattern for new and seasoned knitters alike.
