#4 Medium Worsted weight yarn in 2 colors, main body color and spine color
#2 fine yarn or Embroidery thread for accent color
3.5mm Crochet Hook
1.25 mm or 2mm Crochet Hook (example uses 1.25mm, although a 2mm will work as well)
10-12” of metal chain, you can also crochet a chain instead
(2) 10mm jump rings (if using metal chain)
