Virevolte means twirling, spinning, looping, about turn, which describes the process I went through in designing this shawl!

This shawl is knit in the form of a sail with the main body worked in stockinette, an eyelet border, and finished off with a breezy fringe for casual flair. The fabric created is light and airy and is the perfect little accessory for cool summer nights.

While gauge is less important in a project like a shawl, if you are keen to complete your project with a fringe and 800m of laceweight yarn, be sure that your gauge is correct.
