This shawl works great for both a light sport weight yarn or a fingering weight yarn.

This shawl was designed after my Mamaw, Virgie Clay. She was a strong and beautiful woman who raised me along side my father as not just her granddaughter, but much like I was one of her own children. She was a short and sometimes cross southern woman with an amazing gentle side to her that if you knew her well enough, you got to see. She very much was our families rock, the glue that held us all together; I designed this shawl to utilize three semi-solids to represent the three children she bore, and one variegated to represent her. They all gently curve into one another, creating a ripple of movement. This shawl is finished off with a beautiful Picot edging meant to represent all the times she fought tooth and nail for us. She passes on in October of 2007.
