Virginia knitted collar

This knitted collar, consisting of graphic vertical stripes, is knitted with two strands of Novita Wonder Wool 4PLY and Tuuli. This beautifully shaped accessory can also be worn as a vest. The simple color patterns are also ideal for practicing intarsia knitting.

“I’m from Kuusamo, and I always wore a neck warmer when it was cold as a child. Nowadays, I have a few friends who swear by the good old neck warmer, which is worn over clothing under a coat. I happened to see a neck warmer worn over a coat once and was inspired by this reverse idea. A cowl should be on display, not hidden! While researching references, I came across the idea of combining thick colored stripes. The collar has ties on the sides that can be tied or left open, as desired.“ ​
