Inspired by the traditional Dutch fishermen’s visserstrui, the Visser beanie by Gala Pillot, better known as Galalpaga, features bold cable panels reminiscent of heritage knitwear. Worked in the round from the brim up with a folded twisted rib, it offers a snug fit and a rhythmic, satisfying knit.

CONSTRUCTION
The hat is worked in the round from brim to crown. It begins with twisted ribbing to ensure a firm and elastic edge, before transitioning to the cable pattern. At this point, larger needles are used to create a balanced fabric and highlight the cables. The crown is shaped with a few rounds of decreases for a clean, quick finish.
