Viva summer! This design is a pure celebration of warmer weather knits. Playful striped chevron pattern, v-neck both in front and back, comfortable and adjustable straps, and simple straight silhouette make Viva an easy companion for warmer weather.

Cami is worked from the top down, so it is easy to pick a perfect desired length - from a crop to a full length piece. Stripes transition into each other with slipped stitches (basic mosaic knitting). This pattern can be knit in any number of colors and is perfect for using up leftover yarn or mini skeins.

Construction

  • The cami is knit from the top down. Neck opening is completed in a twisted rib.
  • Shaping is achieved by the equidistant placement of increases and decreases which also creates a chevron pattern.
  • Stripes transition into each other with slipped stitches (basic mosaic knitting).
  • Once the desired length is reached, partial shaping is completed to fill in four empty triangles at the hem of the cami. They are knit separately back and forth.
  • The hemline is finished off with twisted rib, for which the stitches have to be picked up around the garment.
  • Stitches for the straps are picked up at the top of triangles, then the straps are worked in a ribbed pattern and grafted to the cami.
