Construction
The clutch begins by knitting the base lengthwise. Stitches are then picked up along
both sides of the base. The work is continued in the round in stockinette stitch until the
ruffle section, which is marked by working one round purl. Then continue in stockinette
stitch.
The stitches are then bound off, and the ruffles are worked by picking up stitches along
the top edge.
Finally, the knitted piece is sewn to the frame, and the lining is sewn inside for a neat,
finished look.
