The Viviane shawl is knitted from the top down. It is a long crescent shape, which can be styled many, many ways.

The main part of this shawl is knitted with an intriguing thick and thin yarn that has a lot of personality. Colorful accent stripes are done with one of our special all new Differ skeins and finally a microfiber chenille for the bottom cabled section.
There are three vertical cable patterns in the middle of the shawl and the same cable pattern gets repeated all across the bottom edge.

This shawl is loaded with colors and textures, measuring 96” in overall length and 17” in middle height.

The pattern is fully written and also offers a chart for the cables.

The knit kits include
C1- A skein of thick and thin acrylic that is unbelievably soft and offers great textures. 260 yards/50 grams a skein, held double throughout.
C2- A brand new Differ skein with 5 changes of colors and textures including a cool microfiber chenille. The skeins also contain cottons, rayons, linens and combinations of them in various weights. The skeins are wound to order, not stocked.
C3- A skein of a Microfiber chenille. 160 yards in a worsted weight.

Notions needed
US size 5 (3.75 mm) circular needle 36” (82 cm) in length
6 Stitch markers
Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing

Gauge:
14 sts and 26 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch with C1 yarn.

Techniques applied: Knit and purl flat, increases, simple cable knit, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends and blocking.
