This is a baby blanket originally done in a worsted/aran weight yarn. The pattern is modular, and can be modified to fit varying amounts of yarns/gauges. The original used about 400 grams of an aran/worsted weight 100% wool.

The cable motif with stockinette border is 3.25” (8 1/4 cm) wide by 3” (7 2/3 cm) tall. My blanket’s finished size was 22” x 34” (56cm x 86cm).

The blanket can be modified to be as big or as small as you want. I did the border and center portion in seed stitch, but garter or stockinette (though not for the edges) would also be good. If you’re doing this for a baby, I suggest a superwash or acrylic yarn.

This pattern is charted. The chart is small and not complex, but there is no written version. If you have a written version and want to share, please pm me and I will add it to the pattern so everyone can use it.
