The Voltage shawl is worked entirely in garter stitch.
There is an i-cord all around the shawl so you start with an i-cord cast on, continue using an applied i-cord and finish with an i-cord cast off. The bias shaping of the shawl is created by using increases and decreases on each colour onevery right-side row.

This shawl is an ideal pattern for using up some spare yarn for the two contrast colours.
