This cap was typically worn by French Voyageurs in the 18th century, and continued to be worn by French Canadians in the early 19th century. It’s great for historical reenactments, but can also be used in everyday life.
The hat is knitted in one piece, and one of the pointed ends has to be turned inside the other at the end to get a double thick, extra warm hat.

Lever: easy/beginner.

This pattern involves a lot of plain stockinette stitch in the round, with some increases and decreases. It’s great for TV knitting or mindless knitting.
