Sizing of the band for smaller or larger heads is easily changed by using a needle size smaller or larger than the size 7(US) the pattern is written using.

Gauge is not crucial to this particular project.

Less than one skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Worsted was used for the hat in the photos, other recommended yarns would be Berocco Comfort (for those with a wool issue) or Vintage (for those that want it machine washable).

ERRATA: the second row of the body should end with a K4 to maintain the stitch count and pattern (the K2 at the beginning plus a K4 at the end make a K6 section to set up for the next cable section)
