I’m trying to design down my stash this year and get my hands into some of the special skeins of yarn I’ve been waiting to squish!

The VSOP Mitts (and the matching VSOP Hat, see below..) were designed for that purpose - so just grab that skein of special worsted you’ve been hanging onto and cast on.

I knit these in Barrett Wool Co’s Wisconsin Woolen Spun, using up the leftovers from my Bijou Sweater, as that half-skein was just too beautiful to go to waste. Squishy, soft, warm and with stitch definition for days!

The VSOP Mitts are simple, with a stockinette hand and a wrist that features a beautiful cable motif with alternating small and large cabled “V”s (hence the name). I wanted a quick, satisfying knit and really enjoyed knitting up the unique lines on these. So much so that I decided to cast on for a matching hat, right?

I love having the “set” - and if you’d like to knit both patterns, the Raverly code VSOPSET will get you both patterns for $10. No expiration date.

There are notes in pattern for adjusting fit, and cables are both written and charted.
