This elegant and sophisticated scarf features a dignified art nouveau design of leaves and vines that wind their way along the length of the work.

Worked in the double-knitting technique, W12 8QT is deliciously thick and squishy, perfect for those cold days.

Knit with one graduated colour-change yarn and one solid colour, the pattern emerges under your needles in an intriguing and beautiful way. Try two graduated yarns for limitless colour combinations, or two solid colours for a more formalised structure.

The scarf is symmetrical along the middle of the length, drawing the eye up to the centre, and adding variety for the knitter.

The scarf has an invisible cast on, neat slip-stitch edges and a kitchener graft to close the ends, matching the cast on perfectly. All in all, it’s one very tidy scarf!

Worked in a light DK weight yarn, it is quite a quick knit as far as double-knitted projects go.

The pattern contains a quick basic guide to the double-knitting technique, full instructions on performing the one-needle Kitchener bind off, links to specially-recorded video tutorials for the cast on and cast off, and for the slip-stitch edging. Full charts for the design are also included.

This pattern will be suitable for knitters new to the double-knitting technique, and experienced double-knitters alike.
