Waiting to Flower
Brighten up the late winter months with this two color brioche stitch hat that sets us to dreaming of the spring to come. Fold the ribbing up for a beanie, leave the ribbing unfolded for a slouchy fit.
Waiting to Flower is worked from the bottom up, alternating colors every other round. Please read the instructions for each stitch carefully.
The convention for counting rounds in brioche is to count a complete round as both the brk round and the brp round; i.e. Rounds 1 & 2 would count as one complete Brioche round. In this pattern, each partial round is specified in the instructions. For example, if you were checking gauge in the hat in the photo at right, you would select one of the straight ribs of blue and count each stitch in that column as one, ignoring the green rounds.
A stitch with it’s yarn over counts as one stitch.
Finished Measurements: 20” at brim, relaxed. Will stretch to fit up to a 25” head.
