Difficulty Level: Advanced Beginner
Description: This hat is constructed with a folded 2x2 rib brim and a stockinette stitch body. Four spiral decrease lines shape the conical body.
A Note on Gauge: To ensure a perfect fit with any yarn, this pattern is structured by gauge. Please see the “Instructions Hub” to find the correct instructions for your project. It is highly recommended to knit a swatch in Stockinette stitch, wash, and block it to accurately measure your gauge and choose the correct version of the pattern for your project.
Materials
Knitting Needles: 16” / 40 cm circular needles and Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) in the size needed to obtain gauge.
Needles for Baby Sizes: Double-Pointed Needles (DPNs), a short circular needle (e.g., 9–12” / 23–30 cm), or the Magic Loop method for knitting the main body of the hat.
Notions: Stitch Markers (one unique for BOR), Tapestry Needle, Scissors, Measuring Tape.
