This pattern is written using US terminology

To make Wally the snowman you will need:
3 mm hook
DK yarn in white, baby blue, navy, orange and pink
Black embroidery thread
8mm safety eyes
stitch marker
tapestry needle
Scissors

You will also need to know basic crochet stitches, such as
Single crochet
Increase
Decrease
slip stitch
