This hat was inspired by my wandering walks through the woods here on the West Coast of Canada. Aimless meanderings surrounded by the stillness and strength of the giant cedar trees that seem to grow into the sky is when I’m at my most peaceful. I hope this hat keeps you cozy and warm, wherever you may wander.

Construction: This fitted hat with a slouchy vibe is knit using some simple cables and easy slipped stitches. I highly recommend using the beautiful Mongolian Cashmere wool I used from ULA & LIA as it creates a stunningly soft fabric with excellent stitch definition. And it’s ethically sourced from Mongolian goats… what more could you ask for?!

Sizing: Youth, Adult Small and Adult Large - to fit head circumference of 17-20, 21-24 and 25-28 inches respectively
Please note that two skeins are required for the Adult Large size.

Gauge: Because this pattern uses slipped stitches, the gauge needs to be measured in the Textured Pattern outlined in the pattern.

The pattern is both charted and written. As with all of my hat patterns, this can be worn as a simple beanie or topped with a lovely big pom pom, such as the one in my photos from Yarnboler!

I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern as much as I enjoyed creating it!
