Every aspect of this shawl was designed to invoke the comfort of a warm hug. The crescent shape surrounds shoulders, this stitch patterns all involve groups or clusters of stitches, and the yarn color is called Group Hug.

This shawl begins with a narrow garter-stitch tab from which stitches are picked up around three edges. To achieve the crescent shape, two stitches are increased inside each edge every right-side row and one stitch is increased inside each edge every wrong-side row. A modified picot bind-off produces tiny points along the lower edge.

Both charted and row-by-row instructions are provided.
