Knit Play Colour contains ten patterns. The patterns are being previewed on Ravelry through September, with the final pattern being revealed when the book is released on 29th.

A hand-knit to warm someone you love.

Sometimes, instead of wrapping up in a scarf to go out, we just want to snuggle at home in our favourite armchair, under a warm blanket. Get comfy and watch a movie on a chilly evening.

You’ll love how quickly this knits up in a cosy aran yarn, keeping your lap warm as you work.

The perfect gift to welcome a baby into the world. A romantic present for a newly married couple. It is a simple expression of love in yarn and your time.

An intermediate lace project, this blanket is adjustable in size. Make it in baby blanket, or lap blanket/afghan size.

You can play with the design to make an elegant scarf or wedding shawl.

BOTH written instructions AND a chart are included.

PLAY
At the end of every pattern in Knit Play Colour, you will find ideas on how to “play” with the design.

You can play with the colour and weight of yarn. I recommend sport weight, DK, worsted and aran yarns for this blanket. Information on adjusting the blanket for different yarn weights is included.

However…this blanket also wants to be a scarf or shawl!

If you have seen Heart Deco cowl, but would like to make it as a scarf or shawl, all the help you need is in the Play section at the end of the pattern. I know a blanket may sound farther from a scarf or shawl than does a cowl, but since the blanket is worked flat, it’s easier to play with for other flat projects.
