This warm pocket shawl features two distinct Japanese cable stitches, on of which contains lace, and well as a unique border stitch. Together, they make a wonderful combination of stitches. There are patch pockets that insure that the shawl will stay on your shoulder

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting).

The cable focal and border stitches are charted only. There is a diagram contained within the pattern to assist you with pocket placement, and there are also instructions for an optional crocheted border.

The shawl was expertly test knitted by Leslie Shattes who can be reached at: ljshattes@riad.rr.com. It was knit with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted in colorway, Key Largo.
