Take a tour through Shakespeare country with us as we meander along the river Avon. Pause to enjoy the reflection and splendor of Warwick Castle’s towers, conservatories, and its classic blend of Architecture and Nature. Warwick’s crenellations, towers, and medieval arched windows have inspired the cabling in this pattern, while the lacework recalls the blurred reflection of the castle in the peaceful waters of the river. Adorn with an elegant shawl pin for the perfect finishing touch.

Type of instructions
Stitch patterns are both written and charted. If you love charts you can knit from the charts. If you prefer written rows they are there too.

How do I join in the KAL?
There are basicaly 2 steps. 1 buy the pattern. 2 post in the KAL thread that you are planning to knitalong. Et viola; you’ve joined! :)

This pattern call for two colors of yarn, what type of colorwork is used for this pattern?
Slipped Stitches are used to enhance the cable pattern. It’s much easier than it looks and is clearly described in the pattern.

When will I receive the pattern so I can start knitting?
Part 1 will be released on May 28th. An e-mail will be sent to everyone who has purchased the pattern with a link to download the instruction file. Part 2 on June 15th and Part 3 on June 29th

Can I use a variegated yarn for one of the colors?
Yes, for C2. A subtle variegation or speckles would work well. Anything too highly variegated will not show off the cables in part 2 or the lace in part 3 well.

What colors of yarn would you suggest pairing together for this pattern?
Check out the test knitters project pages. Dunalastair has similar cables with many project pictures to view for inspiration.
