Washcloth / Dishcloth Owl Eugen
May I introduce you? This is Eugen the owl. He adorns this washcloth or dishcloth and is happy to help you wash or rinse. If you like, he can also decorate a (children’s) sweater or a blanket, or… whatever you can think of.
As the washcloth is only knitted with purl and knit stitches, it is very easy to knit. The stitch sequence is written out in full in the instructions and the instructions also con-tain a counting pattern. I wish you lots of fun knitting it.
Knowledge required:
• Cast on stitches
• Cast off
• Knitting knit and purl stitches
• Edge stitches
• Crochet chain stitches (explained in the instructions)
What you get:
You get a 10-page instruction with a counting pattern and a row-by-row description of the knitting.
Difficulty level:
Easy.
Stitch Gauge:
Stockinette stitch: 26 stitches = 10 cm wide. 38 rows = 10 cm high.
With this gauge, the washcloth will be approx. 26 cm wide and approx. 24 cm high.
Material:
• You need 1 ball of Katia Capri (100% cotton, LL 50g = 125m) in ecru or in your preferred color. My consumption was 38g. Depending on your personal knitting style, your consumption may vary a little. You can also use a different yarn with a similar yardage.
• Knitting needles no. 2 ½.
• Crochet hook no. 2 ½.
• Sewing needle
• Scissors
