The Wastelander shawl takes inspiration from Fallout, a Role playing video game set in 1950s America and following a nuclear
strike, Vault Dwelling survivors travel the wasteland trying to survive the aftermath.

Scott and I have spent many hours fighting nuclear radiated creatures, trading with bottle caps as currency and trying to rebuild society through decision-making, with plenty of quests along the way.

The lace pattern reflects the distressed clothing of a war torn wasteland where clothing is no longer a fashion accessory but an amour against the environment of the new world.

This pattern has been designed to allow the freedom for the knitter to forge their own shawl, making each section as big or
small as they like. While there is freedom in the shawl, we have 2 rules to follow.

Rule 1 - Before starting Section B (lace section) ensure you have completed Row 2 of Section A and your total stitch count is an
odd number, Section B will not work with an even number.
Rule 2 - To ensure you have enough yarn to cast off we suggest you have a minimum of 10 grams left, you may need more or
less depending on how many times you repeat rows 1-2 of Section A

Our pattern is free as we want our pattern to be accessible to everyone, we do have a tipping option at checkout if you would like to support us.

Happy knitting Scott and Ben!
